A French story

From the mid-1960s, the LIP design office was busy producing a quartz caliber (T24). Intended to be placed in ladies' watches, this caliber, which used a simplified time setting, was definitively developed at LIP in 1969 by Robert Bischoff, Gérard Falin, André Voisard and Roland Plumet. LIP's technical services improved the T24 by making the central second hand more reliable.

This T24 captivates with its timeless Art Deco design featuring a silvered white dial with double sunray finish and applied gilded Arabic numerals. Gilded faceted dauphine hands. Mixed rectangular case in polished and brushed 316L steel with perfect proportions. Genuine brown crocodile-embossed leather strap with a LIP-engraved ardillon buckle. Case back engraved with the coat of arms of Besançon, a symbol of French authenticity. This T24 embodies French watchmaking expertise in a case with undeniable vintage charm.

Historia del reloj

The T24 descends from the iconic T18, created in 1933 by André Donat with its revolutionary rectangular movement. This Art Deco watch was a huge success, with over 400,000 units produced. In 1948, the French government presented a gold-plated T18 to Winston Churchill in gratitude for his services during World War II. The T24 perpetuates this legacy by adopting the aesthetic codes of the Churchill, slightly enlarged to 24mm to adapt to current trends.
