Geschiedenis van het horloge

Een Frans verhaal

Na zijn reis naar de Verenigde Staten keerde Fred Lip terug naar Europa, overtuigd van de toekomst van het elektrische horloge. Het prototype van het eerste elektrische polshorloge ter wereld werd in 1952 gepresenteerd aan de Parijse Academie van Wetenschappen. Deze innovatie vertegenwoordigt “een meesterwerk van chronometrie en kwaliteit”. Het horloge uitgerust met het revolutionaire R27-uurwerk werd in 1958 op de markt gebracht. Fred Lip was er trots op dit horloge aan te bieden aan generaal de Gaulle en vervolgens aan generaal Eisenhower.
