A French story

The manufacture of the Type 18 caliber began in 1935, just before the 1939-45 war. During this conflict, the company moved to the center of France, then to the south, to Valence. At the end of the conflict, LIP returned to Besançon and rebuilt its factory. The "T18" then left the workshops. A very modern caliber with its small seconds counter, an all-gold model was offered to Sir Winston Churchill in 1948.

The LiP T18: a French watch with an elegant design, but also very functional.

The LiP T18 is positioned as an elegant French watch that combines classic and modern styles. To begin with, the French brand has opted for a 32mm rectangular case designed in brushed stainless steel. Its finishes are polished on the sides, giving it a certain refinement. The matte white dial is very minimalist, with black indexes and hands. The idea is to make reading easier in all circumstances. In addition, the LiP T18 has a precise quartz movement. As for the bracelet, it is highlighted thanks to finely crafted black leather. Suffice to say that comfort is there. It seems that the LiP T18 was inspired by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, even if there is no confirmation on this side. However, the French watch has its own personality. There are unique details, such as its crown positioned at 12 o'clock and its extremely sober dial. It is clear that this product offers a perfect balance between elegance and functionality, provided you like the rectangular case.
