A French story

From the mid-1960s, the LIP design office was busy creating a quartz caliber (T24). Intended to be placed in ladies' watches, this caliber which uses simplified time setting was definitively developed at LIP in 1969 by Robert Bischoff, Gérard Falin, André Voisard and Roland Plumet. LIP's technical services will improve the T24 by making the central second hand more reliable.

Histoire de la montre

The Lip 671926 is an emblematic model of the rich and innovative history of the Lip brand, which was founded in 1867 in Besançon, France. From its beginnings, Lip has distinguished itself by its avant-garde spirit, integrating technological innovations and revolutionary design that have marked the watch industry.

Over the years, Lip developed watches that not only told the time but were also wearable works of art. For example, in 1904, Lip produced the first phosphorescent dial in collaboration with Pierre and Marie Curie, a year after the Curies received the Nobel Prize in Physics for their research on radioactivity (LIP Watches).

Under the leadership of Fred Lip in the 1950s, the brand reached its peak with the creation of the electric clock in 1952, a first in Europe, and continued to innovate with the introduction of quartz technology in the 1950s. 1970
